AI optimism and economic data monitored in global markets
While artificial intelligence-focused technology investments support risk appetite in global markets, companies' profitability expectations and regional economic data cause investors to maintain a cautious stance.
While global markets are active with increasing interest in the artificial intelligence theme and the rise in technology stocks, investors are closely monitoring the impact of large-scale AI investments on financial results.
As mobility continues in the technology sector, Anthropic has submitted a registration statement to the SEC for an IPO. Meta, on the other hand, announced a $95 billion financing plan for artificial intelligence infrastructure. Analysts state that uncertainties regarding when these massive investments will turn into profit create cautious optimism in the markets.
Among other important developments in global markets, the barrel price of Brent crude oil fell to $114.7, and US 10-year bond yields dropped to 4.97%. On the European side, the Ifo Germany Business Climate Index rose to 90.2 points, while Moody's maintained France's credit rating. In Asian markets, the South Korean economy grew by 1%, and China's industrial profits increased by 14.4% in September.
Domestically, the BIST 100 index rose by 0.31% to 11,151.96 points. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced that they foresee a 3.3% growth target for 2026. On the other hand, the Capital Markets Board (SPK) decided to temporarily suspend the activities of Tera Portföy Yönetimi AŞ and Pusula Portföy Yönetimi AŞ.
