Ahead of the holiday season, Amazon has rolled out more than 100 shopping-focused capabilities for its Alexa voice assistant. With this update, users can manage shopping lists, organize subscriptions, update delivery instructions, and resolve payment issues through the AI bot.

Thanks to the new features, users can create lists through Alexa, view their contents, and add or edit items. Additionally, subscription management allows changing a product's delivery frequency and updating delivery instructions such as address and drop-off details. Users can also ask the assistant questions regarding billing and payments for their Prime or Audible subscriptions.

Amazon has introduced various AI-driven tools this year, including a shopping assistant and features that notify users about new products and offers. The company reported that the number of people using these features has increased 8-fold since the beginning of the year, and over 400 million consumers have used Alexa for shopping within the past 12 months.
