At App State, an ethics and sustainability panel was held at Anne Belk Hall to inform students about discussions surrounding the sustainability of artificial intelligence ahead of the midterm elections.

Organized by AppVotes in partnership with the Constructive Dialogue Institute, the event aimed to enable students to address controversial topics in a civil and constructive manner rather than being steered toward a biased viewpoint. Introduced by senior political science student Aidan Beauregard, the panel featured four faculty and staff members who are experts in artificial intelligence infrastructure, technology ethics, and sustainability.
