Israeli historian and philosopher Yuval Noah Harari said in an interview with Czech state television that artificial intelligence could take control of financial and legal systems in the future in a way that exceeds the limits of the human mind. Harari stated that this situation could leave humanity like cows, which live under human control and are far from understanding the economic systems that shape their lives.

Historian Yuval Noah Harari used the analogy of cows for humanity while sharing his concerns about the future of artificial intelligence. In his statements on Czech state television, he stated that cows can see humans and recognize their owners, but they cannot comprehend the flow of money or the bond market that affects them. Similarly, he emphasized that in the future, humans could become dependent on artificial intelligence systems whose decisions and underlying logic are beyond their mental comprehension.

Harari noted that the danger posed by artificial intelligence stems from taking control of critical systems such as finance and bureaucracy rather than a physical attack. Stating that artificial intelligence naturally adapts to bureaucratic environments thanks to its capacity to process vast amounts of information, the philosopher expressed that humans were born in the forest, whereas artificial intelligence was born in the office environment. He added that no human banker could remember all transactions in a bank, but an artificial intelligence banker could do so.
