Florida State University (FSU), in partnership with Information Technology Services and Google for Education, welcomed over a thousand students, faculty members, and staff at the Google Days 2026 event held on October 7-8. The two-day event focused on the practical uses of artificial intelligence tools in higher education.
Held on the FSU campus, the event welcomed Google experts to demonstrate to participants how artificial intelligence tools can support education, learning, and research. As part of the program, sessions tailored for academics were held at the Innovation Hub, while a two-day Gemini Campus Tour activity took place at the FSU Student Union.
Over a hundred faculty members participated in workshops focusing on the practical applications of artificial intelligence. These sessions examined how to create process-based assessments and how to use Gemini's Deep Research feature to synthesize research. Pre-registered participants who completed the program became eligible to earn Google AI Educator digital badges. In the area set up at the Student Union, students had the opportunity to directly experience Gemini and other Google tools.
