Bahamian-American astronaut and aerospace engineer Aisha Bowe met with youth at an event held in Adana, where she made statements regarding the future of space exploration and Turkey's potential in this field.
Visiting the city as part of the Altın Koza Film Festival, Bowe expressed that space travel will become much more accessible in the future. Touching upon Turkey's future in space studies, Bowe remarked, "The star is currently on your flag, but Turkey will be among the stars in the coming period."
Having crossed the Kármán line with Blue Origin's NS-31 mission in April 2025, Bowe emphasized that her interest in mathematics was decisive in her career journey. The astronaut, who conducted experiments on plant biology in space, drew attention to the importance of space research for humanity.
