BIST 100 Index on Borsa Istanbul Completed the Day with an Increase

The BIST 100 index on Borsa Istanbul completed the day with an increase, in parallel with the positive atmosphere in global markets. Gaining 34.97 points compared to the previous close, the index recorded a total trading volume of 104.1 billion liras.

On a sectoral basis, the banking index gained 1.98 percent and the holding index gained 0.48 percent. While the sector index that gained the most during the day was metal goods machinery with 3.79 percent, the sector that lost the most was financial leasing factoring with 5.36 percent, as determined.

Global markets are following a positive course, supported by the decline in oil prices. Investors are closely monitoring the US Federal Reserve's (Fed) interest rate decision, growth and inflation data, and the balance sheets of major technology companies.

According to analysts' assessments, from a technical perspective, the 11,300 and 11,400 point levels stand out as resistance points in the BIST 100 index, while the 11,000 and 10,900 point levels stand out as support points. Tomorrow, domestic unemployment data and foreign data such as the US consumer confidence index, building permits, and durable goods orders will be monitored.
