BIST 100 Index on Borsa Istanbul Ended the Day with a Decline
Following the general downward trend in the markets, the BIST 100 index recorded a 1.08 percent decrease. Current figures in the exchange rates and gold market have also become clear.
The BIST 100 index on Borsa Istanbul lost 1.08 percent in value along with the losses experienced throughout the day, closing the session at 12,118.29 points.
Intraday Course of the BIST 100 Index
The BIST 100 index on Borsa Istanbul decreased by 132.3 points to close at 12,118.29 points. The index had started the day with a decrease of 18.71 points and 0.15 percent at 12,231.97 points.
Seeing a low of 12,118.29 points and a high of 12,253.40 points during the day, the BIST 100 index completed the day with a loss of 1.08 percent compared to the previous close.
Sectoral Indices and Status of Stocks
The BIST 30 index closed at 15,047.87 points with a decrease of 143.70 points and 0.95 percent compared to the previous close. While 12 of the stocks included in the BIST 100 index gained value, 82 declined.
The services index lost 1.47 percent, the technology index 1.12 percent, the financial index 1.42 percent, and the industrial index 1.28 percent.

Turkish Airlines, Akbank, ASELSAN, Tüpraş, and Astor Enerji were among the most traded stocks throughout the session.
Developments in the Gold and Foreign Exchange Market
While the ounce price of gold was trading at 4,087 dollars in international markets as of 18:20, the kilogram price of standard gold in the Borsa Istanbul Gold Market decreased by 1.78 percent to 6 million 500 thousand liras.
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey announced today's effective exchange rate for the US dollar as 49.2695 liras for buying and 49.4670 liras for selling.
