Following expectations that disagreements between the US and Iran in the global oil market could be resolved through diplomatic channels and a $6 billion mediation proposal by Qatar and Pakistan, brent crude has declined to $108. If this drop in prices continues, a reduction in fuel prices is expected.

With the decline recorded on Tuesday, brent crude, which saw $117 during the day, is currently trading at $108. Expectations that geopolitical risks in the Middle East might decrease are exerting downward pressure on prices. As part of a joint proposal prepared by Qatar and Pakistan in the diplomatic process, it is envisaged that $6 billion of Iran's frozen assets in the international system will be released, while the Tehran administration will reopen its nuclear facilities to International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspections.

On the other hand, current fuel prices across Turkey vary by province. On the European Side of Istanbul, gasoline is at 83.90 TL, diesel at 96.70 TL, and LPG at 41.20 TL; on the Anatolian Side, gasoline is at 83.70 TL, diesel at 96.50 TL, and LPG at 40.60 TL. In Ankara, gasoline is measured at 84.90 TL, diesel at 97.80 TL, and LPG at 41.29 TL; while in Izmir, gasoline is sold at 85.10 TL, diesel at 98.00 TL, and LPG at 41.20 TL.
