Decline in gold prices on Borsa Istanbul: Kilogram price drops below 6.5 million liras

The kilogram price of standard gold traded on the Borsa Istanbul Precious Metals and Precious Stones Market (KMKTP) lost 1 percent in value compared to the previous close, falling to 6 million 560 thousand liras.

A decline of 65 thousand liras was recorded in the kilogram price of standard gold, which had completed the previous trading day at 6 million 625 thousand liras. Seeing the lowest level of 6 million 545 thousand liras and the highest level of 6 million 615 thousand liras during the day, the weighted average price of gold materialized as 6 million 549 thousand 133.33 liras. On a dollar basis, the ounce price of standard gold closed the day at 4 thousand 119.50 dollars.

According to KMKTP data, the total transaction volume in the gold market reached the level of 1 billion 560 million 704 thousand 495.70 liras. In the market where 238.05 kilograms of gold changed hands throughout the day, a total of 19 transactions were carried out. Together with precious metals other than gold, the total transaction volume in the market amounted to 1 billion 656 million 236 thousand 235.45 liras. Among the institutions that carried out the highest number of transactions during the day were NMGlobal Kıymetli Madenler, Osmanlı Kıymetli Madenler, Akbank, Misyon Yatırım Bankası, and Vakıf Katılım.
