Chinese company wins $8 million deal from Turkish manufacturer with financing advantage

Ekonomi Gazetesi General Coordinator Vahap Munyar shared the competitive obstacles faced by Turkish machinery manufacturers against their Chinese rivals during his meetings with industrialists in the Gebze İMES Machinery Specialized Organized Industrial Zone. According to the information shared by Munyar, one of Turkey's leading crane manufacturers lost an $8 million project despite reaching an agreement, because a Chinese firm offered a financing advantage and a lower price quote.

Vahap Munyar stated that this development clearly shows Turkish industrialists face serious disadvantages not only in terms of production costs but also regarding access to financing. The recounted incident lays bare the difficulties experienced by industrial manufacturers in Turkey in international competition due to financing support and cost factors.
