The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry continues its positive discrimination practices through grant supports ranging from 60 to 70 percent and additional payments for female farmers in areas such as rural development investments, IPARD grant programs, crop production, livestock, and beekeeping.

60 Percent Grant for Female Entrepreneurs in Rural Development

The Rural Development Investment Program of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, which encourages investment in rural areas, prioritizes female producers. According to the statements made by Minister İbrahim Yumaklı regarding the 2026 application period, grants are provided for projects within the scope of the program. The grant rate is applied as 60 percent for projects involving women, youth, and investments located in rural areas. At least 20 percent of the 2026 budget is allocated to female and young entrepreneurs.

Additional Coefficient Payments in Livestock and Beekeeping

Additional supports for female producers are also implemented in the fields of livestock and beekeeping. Female producers engaged in beekeeping receive an additional payment of 0.4 coefficient on top of the basic support, raw milk producers receive 0.3 coefficient, and silkworm breeders receive 0.4 coefficient. Additional financial contributions are provided to young and female producers in livestock supports.

Extra Points and Advantages with the IPARD III Program

In the IPARD III Program implemented by TRDC (TKDK), which aims to enable women to take a more active role in the rural economy, female entrepreneurs are awarded extra points during the project evaluation stage. Within the framework of the 241 million euro call calendar announced for 2026, various agricultural activities are supported. High rates of grants have been provided to thousands of female entrepreneurs within the scope of the program to date.

Controlled Environment and Increased Coefficient in Crop Production

Female farmers benefit from basic and planned production supports open to all producers, in addition to special programs. While the support coefficient value has been increased for 2026, additional basic support is paid to female farmers engaged in crop production in a controlled environment registered in KOBÜKS. Payments are also made to those who meet the conditions in areas such as certified seeds, organic agriculture, and good agricultural practices.

Access to Information and Investment Resources in Production

The Ministry's practices for female farmers are not limited to contributing to production costs alone. The budget share allocated to women in rural development investments and the advantages granted under IPARD aim to increase female producers' access to knowledge and technology. These supports strengthen the presence of women in agricultural production.
