Domestic and national 6G network technologies successfully pass field tests
New generation 6G network solutions, developed in partnership with TÜBİTAK and Turkcell, were field-tested for the first time in a commercial test infrastructure.
TÜBİTAK and Turkcell have completed the first field tests of 6G network solutions developed with domestic resources as part of strategic efforts toward future communication technologies.
Strategic Cooperation and Development Process
A strategic cooperation was implemented between TÜBİTAK and Turkcell to prepare for 6G network technologies. Within the scope of this partnership, prototypes of new generation network solutions were produced using domestic and national resources.
Field Testing of Intelligent Surface Technologies
Innovative network equipment based on intelligent surface technologies, which are among the fundamental building blocks of 6G communication, were field-tested for the first time in a commercial-grade test infrastructure and significant milestones were achieved.
Inter-Institutional Joint Studies and Designs
In the project carried out under the leadership of Turkcell 6GEN.LAB, TÜBİTAK MAM MİLTAL and TÜBİTAK BİLGEM HİSAR Lab teams conducted joint studies. The initial commercial tests focusing on static and adaptive intelligent surface designs concluded successfully.
Signal Performance and Coverage Area Goals
As a result of the tests conducted, it was observed that the developed designs significantly increased signal performance. The aim is to improve coverage and signal routing capabilities in new generation wireless networks.
