Donald Trump's reaction to LeBron James regarding the national anthem

US President Donald Trump accused basketball player LeBron James, who plays for the Philadelphia 76ers, of showing disrespect during the US national anthem played before the season opener against the New York Knicks.

In footage recorded before the game at Madison Square Garden, LeBron James was seen performing golf swing and basketball shooting motions during the national anthem. In a post on social media, Trump stated that James disrespected the country, saying, "LeBron James should apologize to all the great American warriors and heroes who sacrificed their lives for the American flag."

Trump also made a harsh statement about James, saying, "I have said from the beginning that he is not good, he is a total disgrace." LeBron James has not yet responded to the matter.
