Economists' October inflation and year-end dollar expectations announced
According to the Matriks Haber survey, the October inflation expectation was 2.40 percent monthly and 29.54 percent annually, while the end-of-2026 dollar/TL forecast dropped to the 51.60 level.
The results of the survey conducted by Matriks Haber with the participation of 29 banks and brokerage firms have been published. According to the research, economists' October inflation expectation was calculated as 2.40 percent monthly and 29.54 percent annually.
The median CPI estimate for October by economists participating in the Matriks Haber survey was 2.40 percent on a monthly basis and 29.54 percent on an annual basis. Average expectations were recorded at 2.33 percent monthly and 29.44 percent annually. The October CPI data is expected to be announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. While the year-end inflation expectation was maintained at 29.50 percent, the end-of-2026 dollar/TL exchange rate expectation dropped from 51.80 to the 51.60 level.
