As of September 2026 in Quang Ninh, information for over 1.4 million people has been stored in electronic health records, reaching 98.82 percent of the population and surpassing the annual target. The process of data integration, simplification of administrative procedures, and expansion of digital services in the health sector is ongoing.

The data cleansing and enrichment rate across Quang Ninh was recorded at 94.35 percent. At institutions such as Bai Chay Hospital and the Quang Ninh Center for Disease Control, medical data is updated and synchronized via connected systems and the National Immunization Information System.

While the health sector reduced paperwork across 41 administrative procedures in favor of electronic data, the transfer of 155 procedures to online services reduced total processing time from 2,180 days to 1,488 days, a 32 percent decrease. Out of 222 health facilities covered by health insurance, 220 have started using national ID cards or VNeID.

Across the sector, more than 19,000 referral documents and over 74,000 follow-up appointment documents were linked, while approximately 9.9 million electronic prescriptions were integrated into the National Prescription System. Dr. Trinh Van Manh, Deputy Director of the Department of Health, noted that the proportion of people with an electronic health booklet on VNeID stands at 33.9 percent, and there are gaps in the full synchronization of data with VNeID.
