Following the derby defeat, Fenerbahçe parted ways with İsmail Kartal, and while the search for a manager continues at the yellow-navy team, SABAH Newspaper Sports Director Murat Özbostan evaluated the names on the Canary's agenda. There are disagreements within the management over domestic and foreign managerial options. Foreign candidates include Vincenzo Montella, the high-cost Conte, Stefano Pioli, and Julian Nagelsmann, who left the German National Team and is heavily desired by Aziz Yıldırım. Among domestic options, the names of Emre Belözoğlu, Abdullah Avcı, and Aykut Kocaman have come to the agenda. During this process, Dirk Kuyt was brought in to take charge of the team, while İsmail Kartal's 9-person technical staff was let go. The results Kuyt achieves in the matches leading up to the international break are of critical importance for his future.
