Fergani's sixth satellite FRG-100D4 placed into its target orbit
Fergani's sixth satellite, FRG-100D4, operating under Baykar, was launched via SpaceX's Bandwagon-5 mission and reached its orbit at an altitude of 590 kilometers.
According to the statement made by Baykar, Fergani's sixth satellite, FRG-100D4, launched within the scope of SpaceX's Bandwagon-5 mission, was successfully placed into its target orbit at an altitude of 590 kilometers at 15.07 Turkey time.
According to Baykar's statement, the satellite separated from the launch vehicle approximately 63 minutes after launch and took its place in orbit. Weighing 160 kilograms, the FRG-100D4 holds the distinction of being the satellite with the highest power generation capacity developed by Fergani to date. The satellite features entirely nationally developed critical components such as a reaction wheel, magnetic torque rod, magnetometer, IMU, GNSS receiver, steerable solar panels, battery pack, regenerative modem, phased array antenna, and an artificial intelligence-supported computer.
Fergani Space aims to complete the Uluğ Bey Constellation Satellite System, consisting of more than 200 satellites, entirely with its own resources within 5 years. Having sent the FGN-100-D1, FGN-100-D2, the hybrid propulsion system equipped FGN-TUG-S01 orbital transfer vehicle, and the FGN-100-D3 satellites into space since January 2025, the company has reached a total of six spacecraft with the FRG-100D4.
