Collaborative Collision: FSU researchers explore the future of artificial intelligence

The Florida State University (FSU) Office of Research brought together researchers from various disciplines to discuss the role of artificial intelligence in scientific discovery by hosting a meeting titled "Collaborative Collision: The Future of Intelligence" as part of the Discovery Days events.

The event provided an opportunity for the exchange of ideas on how artificial intelligence can be used in areas such as healthcare, smart cities, robotics, and societal impacts. Participants evaluated the integration of artificial intelligence technologies into academic work and the preservation of a human-centered approach during this process.

The FSU Research Development team launched the "Collaborative Collision LaunchPad Funding" program to support interdisciplinary partnerships. Under this program, teams developing innovative artificial intelligence-focused projects are aimed to be provided with seed funding support of up to $25,000.

Additionally, representatives from Information Technology Services, FSU Libraries, and the Research Computing Center provided information regarding the technical support and resources that researchers can utilize in their projects.
