New arrests have been made within the scope of the fund investigation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding transactions in capital markets. Türkiye Sigorta Deputy General Manager Gürol Sami Özer was arrested by the duty criminal judgeship of peace before which he was brought following detention procedures. Within the same investigation, an arrest warrant was issued upon the prosecutor's objection against former AK Party deputy and former Chief Advisor to the President Ertan Aydın, who had previously been released under judicial control conditions. Detained in Ankara, Aydın was brought to Istanbul and arrested.
The investigation process scrutinizes transactions in the stocks of Işıklar Enerji, Vişne Madencilik, Odine Solutions, and Tera Finansal Yatırımlar Holding. In previous operations, 15 people, including Altınbaş Holding official İnan Altınbaş, had been arrested. Information that Ertan Aydın served as a board member at Tera Yatırım Menkul Değerler between January 13, 2025, and June 23, 2025, was also reflected in the investigation file.
There are differences among sources regarding the arrest process of Ertan Aydın; while some sources state that Aydın was arrested by the duty criminal judgeship of peace in Ankara, other sources report that the individual was brought to Istanbul and arrested at the Istanbul Palace of Justice.
