Presidential Cabinet to meet in Beştepe: Agenda features fund investigation and security

The Presidential Cabinet is meeting in Beştepe tomorrow to discuss the current stage of the fund investigation, payment arrangements for investors, and regional security issues.

The main agenda item of the meeting is the ongoing fund investigation and fund liquidation process. Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek and Minister of Justice Akın Gürlek are expected to brief cabinet members on the financial and judicial dimensions of the investigation. Within the scope of the regulation adopted in the General Assembly of the Parliament, the details of interim payments of up to 1 million liras planned to be made to investors will also be laid on the table.

Under the foreign policy heading, developments in the Middle East, the tension between the US and Iran, the situation around the Strait of Hormuz, and the Houthis' attacks on Saudi Arabia will be evaluated. In addition, developments in the disarmament process within the scope of the 'Terror-Free Turkey' process and the latest situation on the ground will be addressed in line with intelligence reports. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is expected to make a statement after the meeting.
