Genel Sağlık-İş Reacts to Artvin Provincial Health Director's Attendance at Union General Assembly

Genel Sağlık-İş strongly reacted to Artvin Provincial Health Director Yunuz Arslan's attendance at the 5th Ordinary General Assembly of the Sağlık-Sen Artvin Branch. The union invited Ministry of Health inspectors to take action, alleging that public managers acted contrary to the principles of impartiality and equality.

In a statement made by Genel Sağlık-İş, it was argued that a public manager taking part in a specific union's general assembly undermines the principle of equality among unions. Emphasizing that public authorities cannot be supporters of any union, the statement recalled that the principles of merit and impartiality are indispensable in public administration.

The union management demanded that the participation in question be examined regarding the impartiality obligation of public managers, that a transparent investigation be conducted, and that necessary administrative and legal sanctions be applied if a violation is detected.
