Google has introduced the Connected Apps Platform to expand AI experiences across Search and Gemini. Currently available in beta to developers in the US, this new platform allows businesses to integrate their own applications into the Google ecosystem and monitor their performance.

Thanks to the Connected Apps Platform launched by Google, users can securely connect with popular third-party services and run them directly through Gemini and Google Search. Developers can register and test their applications by setting up a cloud-hosted MCP server or Android MCP integration and using AppFunctions APIs. After launching the application, developers can track traffic, latency, and error rates while preserving brand identities, such as verified logos and authenticated accounts.

With the participation of partners such as Adobe, Experian, Localiza, and Peloton, there are already more than 50 Connected Apps in Gemini. While these applications are stated to be coming to Google Search in the coming weeks, the meditation app Calm is also among the new partners for both Gemini and Search. It has not yet been shared when the platform, currently in public preview with a waitlist for developers in the US, will open to a wider audience.
