Historic Sales and Revenue Record Announced in Boron Mining
According to the statement made by Eti Maden, Turkey is preparing to achieve record levels of sales and foreign exchange revenue in boron this year.
As Turkey's steps in energy and mining bear fruit, Eti Maden General Manager Yalçın Aydin announced that a historic record will be broken this year with 2 million 700 thousand tons of sales and 1 billion 560 million dollars in revenue in the field of boron.

Turkey has reached an important position worldwide with the steps it has taken in energy and mining. Foundations of the New Boron Strategy
At the root of Turkey's strategic moves in energy and mining lies the new boron strategy announced during the period when Berat Albayrak served as the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources. Within the framework of this vision announced to the public on June 7, 2018, it was decided to establish a boron carbide facility in Balıkesir, and a cooperation protocol was signed with the Chinese Dalian Jinma Group.
End-Product Initiative and Added Value
In his book titled 'Burası Çok Önemli', Berat Albayrak drew attention to the necessity of increasing added value by transforming minerals into end products instead of exporting them as raw or concentrated. Turkey, which owns 73 percent of the world's boron reserves, aims to become a major hub in strategic areas such as defense, space industry, and aviation with high value-added products such as boric acid, boron carbide, ferroboron, and boron nitride.
