“I Am Talking with Istanbul” Exhibition Meets Visitors at Istanbul Mall
Curated by Samed Karagöz, the "I Am Talking with Istanbul" exhibition brings together works by seven artists from different disciplines at Istanbul Mall.
Opened at Istanbul Mall and curated by Samed Karagöz, the "I Am Talking with Istanbul" exhibition presents visitors with works by seven artists in the fields of painting, sculpture, installation, digital art, photography, ceramics, and illustration.
Addressing Istanbul's memory through objects, plants, and traces of daily life, the exhibition invites visitors to re-establish a relationship with the city. The works of Samed Karagöz, Ozan Türkkan, Eylül Alıcı, Kıvanç Aykan, Raziyye Kuzu Atalay, Server Demirtaş, Selçuk Artut, and Fuat Değirmenci bring architecture, nature, personal history, and technology together in the same narrative.
Curator Samed Karagöz stated that the exhibition's title references Orhan Veli's lines, "I'm listening to Istanbul, with my eyes closed." Among the prominent works is "Latent Stitches" by Raziyye Kuzu Atalay, in which she interprets traditional carpet and rug motifs using artificial intelligence.
