Insurance cost of the flood disaster determined as 12 billion liras

Following the floods and water inundations that occurred in Istanbul, Kocaeli, Sakarya, Yalova, and Bursa on October 14-15, 10,130 notifications reached insurance companies as of October 27. The total damage amount was determined as 11,992.45 million liras, while payments for 1,053 files under the flood and water inundation coverage have been completed.

The cost to the insurance sector of the floods and water inundations that were effective in Istanbul, Kocaeli, Sakarya, Yalova, and Bursa on October 14-15 has become clear. As of October 27, a total of 10,130 notifications were forwarded to insurance companies. As a result of the evaluations made, the total damage amount was recorded as 11,992.45 million liras. On the other hand, it was reported that payment procedures regarding 1,053 files with flood and water inundation coverage have been completed.
