Tax Oversight in the Healthcare Sector from the Ministry of Treasury and Finance

In the tax oversight program targeted at the healthcare sector by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance Tax Inspection Board, 820 physicians and 45 private hospitals achieved 100% compliance. A total change of 32.7 billion liras was recorded in tax base items during the three-month period.

Within the scope of the program initiated in the April-May 2026 period, meetings were held with physicians and private hospitals operating in major provinces, primarily Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bursa, and Antalya. As a result of guidance efforts, the practice of physicians invoicing hospitals through their affiliated companies came to an end, and working models were brought into compliance with relevant legislation. The identified tax risks were resolved without the need for any tax inspection.
