The revenue charts of Intel and SK Hynix over the last eight quarters reveal different growth trends between the two giants. While SK Hynix, which produces advanced memory semiconductors, is growing rapidly due to market demand, processor manufacturer Intel continues its restructuring and transformation efforts under the leadership of CEO Lip-Bu Tan.

Intel, which designs and manufactures processors and graphics units, generated $16.1 billion in revenue in the second quarter of 2026, reaching its highest quarterly sales figure in the last two years. In contrast, SK Hynix, which operates in the advanced memory semiconductor market, increased its revenue from $12.9 billion in the third quarter of 2024 to $52.6 billion in the second quarter of 2026. This rapid expansion of SK Hynix enabled it to reach a 76 percent operating profit margin in the second quarter of 2026, thanks to high demand for memory components.

As part of the companies' operational moves, Intel carried out a $20 billion share offering and collaborated with Applied Materials. On the other hand, SK Hynix laid the foundation for an advanced semiconductor packaging facility in the state of Indiana in August 2026.
