MLB player will become World Series champion regardless of Brewers-Rays outcome

Relief pitcher Jake Woodford, who wore the uniforms of the Milwaukee Brewers and the Tampa Bay Rays during the 2026 season, has guaranteed himself a championship regardless of which of these two teams facing off in the World Series wins. However, whether he will be awarded a championship ring is entirely up to the discretion of the club management.

29-year-old baseball player Jake Woodford was on the roster of three different teams throughout the 2026 season. Traded to the Milwaukee Brewers by the Tampa Bay Rays early in the season, Woodford appeared in 16 games for the Brewers, pitching 23 1/3 innings and posting a 1-0 record. Designated for assignment and released in June, the player signed a contract with the Chicago Cubs in July. Following his stints with the Cubs and Yankees, Woodford rejoined the Rays roster, wearing the uniforms of both teams during the season.
