The expected raise and calculation details for the salaries of millions of civil servants, retirees, public workers, and minimum wage earners in the January 2027 period, based on inflation rates and collective agreement provisions, have been shared.

Civil servants and civil servant retirees will receive a 5% raise along with an inflation difference reflecting the rate by which inflation in the second half of 2026 exceeds 7%. If the 2026 inflation rate turns out to be 28.4%, the January raise including the difference will reach 7%; if it is 29.63%, it will reach 8.02%; and if it is 30.06%, it will reach 8.39%. Based on these calculations, it is projected that the lowest civil servant salary, which is 70,224 liras, will rise to a range between 75,140 and 76,116 liras, and the lowest civil servant retiree pension, which is 31,527 liras, will rise to a range between 33,734 and 34,172 liras. In addition, civil servants' family allowances and collective agreement bonuses, as well as additional payments for retired physicians, will be redetermined with the January raise.

Collective labor agreements covering the years 2027-2028 will be signed in 2027, and the January raise for public workers will be finalized through this agreement. Until the collective labor agreement is signed, public workers will only receive an inflation difference in January; this difference will be calculated based on the portion of inflation in the second half of 2026 that exceeds 6%. Depending on the inflation rate, a difference between 3.04% and 4.45% will be granted. Inflation data will play a critical role for the minimum wage, which is currently 28,075 liras net and 33,030 liras gross. If the 28.4% 2026 CPI forecast in the Medium-Term Program is reflected, the net minimum wage could rise to 36,048 liras and the gross to 42,410 liras. Based on the increase rate of tax exemption support in the 2027 budget, it is calculated that the net wage could reach 37,536 liras and the gross wage 44,161 liras. In line with the civil servant raise, the age 65 pension, home care, and disability pensions will also be readjusted.
