Joint platform from 11 unions in health and social services

Operating in the field of health and social services, 11 unions have come together under the umbrella of the "Trade Union Democracy and Solidarity Platform" in line with common rights and demands. Drawing attention to obstacles in labor legislation, the platform demanded the implementation of international conventions and ILO standards.

11 unions operating in the health and social services branch decided to work together under the name "Trade Union Democracy and Solidarity Platform". In the statement made by the platform, it was stated that the current labor legislation creates obstacles to the exercise of trade union rights and freedoms at international standards. It was recalled that international conventions to which Turkey is a party and Article 90 of the Constitution guarantee the freedom of employees to organize and defend their rights through democratic means.

The statement called for the effective implementation of trade union rights and freedoms included in International Labour Organization (ILO) conventions. It was stated that the main purpose of the platform is to protect acquired rights, ensure the effective implementation of trade union rights and freedoms, develop the rights and interests of employees, and strengthen the ground for joint struggle. AHESEN, Primary Care Health Employees Unity and Solidarity Union, Birlik Sağlık Sen, Dentistry Union, Genel Sağlık-İş, Hekim Birliği Sendikası, HEP-SEN, Hürriyet Sağlık-Sen, SAHİM-SEN, Yeni Sendika and Tabip-Sen take part in the platform.
