M42 CEO on AI, genomics and the future of healthcare

M42 Group CEO Dimitris Moulavasilis explained how the company is reshaping the healthcare sector by integrating artificial intelligence, genomics, and clinical services.

Established in 2023 through the merger of G42 Healthcare and Mubadala Health, M42 currently operates with more than 480 healthcare facilities across 27 countries. While the company's Global Patient Care platform serves approximately 15 million patients annually, its portfolio includes prominent organizations such as Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and international kidney care provider Diaverum.

Moulavasilis noted that technology enables doctors to detect health risks at an earlier stage. The Emirati Genome Programme, conducted by the company, aims to develop personalized medicine applications and preventive healthcare services in the United Arab Emirates by utilizing genetic data. M42 continues to develop artificial intelligence tools and digital health solutions to support clinical decisions during this process.
