Ministry of Health 38,000 personnel recruitment process and plans in Trabzon

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced on October 17, 2026, that 38,000 non-physician personnel will be employed within the Ministry of Health and that the announcement will be published by the end of the year. As of October 26, 2026, while application dates and staff distribution have not yet been finalized, studies are being carried out to meet the personnel needs of the City Hospital under construction in Trabzon.

Trabzon Provincial Health Director Dr. Mehmet Topsakal had previously stated in his statements that the personnel needs of the City Hospital would be met through transfers from existing hospitals and new planning. How healthcare services in the city will be shaped with the commissioning of the new hospital continues to be a matter of curiosity.

On the other hand, with a separate decision published in the Official Gazette dated October 17, 2026, the recruitment of 31,054 contracted healthcare personnel to be employed in 2027 was planned. This regulation is being carried out as a separate process from the 38,000 non-physician personnel recruitment announced by President Erdoğan.
