Sağlık Bakanlığı, sağlık sigortası primlerinin artırılmaması yönündeki öneriye, bunun düşük gelirli kişilere yük getireceği gerekçesiyle yanıt verdi.

The Ministry of Health issued an official evaluation regarding the request not to increase health insurance premiums based on the base salary level, stating that changing this practice would create economic difficulties for freelancers and low-income groups.

Premium Rates and Voter Demands

Responding to a petition submitted by voters in the Tay Ninh region, the Ministry of Health recalled the provisions of the current Health Insurance Law.

According to the law, contribution rates for groups supported by the state budget are calculated as a percentage of the base salary.

Current Base Salary and Payment Conditions

According to current regulations, the base salary continues to be applied at the level of 2,530,000 VND per month.

Health insurance holders have the right to full coverage of treatment costs if the cost of a single visit remains below the 15 percent threshold of the base salary.

Fund Balance and Subsidy Policies

The Health Insurance Fund operates on the principle of revenue and expenditure balance, and rising market costs can pose a risk to the fund's balance.

The state implements various support and subsidy policies for poor households and students in order to balance the financial burden on citizens.
