Models Combining Military and Civilian Healthcare Services Developed in the Central Highlands
As a result of scientific studies conducted to increase access to healthcare services for the local population and soldiers in the region, new community models have been implemented.
Within the scope of projects carried out to increase the healthcare access capacity of the public and soldiers in the Central Highlands, community models combining military and civilian healthcare services have been developed and put into practice.
Purpose and Scope of the Project
The research project conducted by the Ministry of Science and Technology focuses on solutions to protect and improve the health of the public and soldiers in border areas. In this context, various community models that increase healthcare capacity in the region have been developed.
Military and Civilian Health Cooperation
One of the most important achievements of the project cluster is the realization of a combined military and civilian healthcare service model in preventing the spread of diseases due to border crossings. This model has proven effective in the prevention and control of malaria, especially for the civilian population and military personnel.
Disease Detection and Treatment Methods
Among the main features of the model is the expansion of disease detection and treatment down to the village, hamlet, and household levels. The joint work of the village health system, border guard health services, and military health services helps in the early diagnosis and treatment of malaria patients, proactively reducing the source of infection.
Implemented New Models and Results
The project group has established a mobile military-civilian health team model for emergency medical interventions in border areas in the Moray border commune. In addition, by applying the model of increasing the capacity of commune health centers in Ia-Púch commune, Chư Prông district, Gia Lai province, people's access to medical services has been improved.
