El-Cedan: Savaşlar ve tedarik kesintileri, küresel ekonomi üzerindeki riskleri artırıyor

Saudi Arabia's Minister of Finance and Chairman of the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC), Mohammed Al-Jadaan, stated that ongoing wars, conflicts, and supply chain disruptions are exacting human and economic tolls worldwide.

Al-Jadaan emphasized that this negative picture increases price pressures, particularly in the poorest and most vulnerable countries. It was pointed out that for sustainable growth and long-term stability, economic and financial stability must be strengthened, international cooperation increased, and conflicts brought to an end.

In the IMFC 54th Meeting Chair's Statement published in Bangkok, it was stated that the global economy has weathered recent shocks better than expected, but this resilience is not guaranteed to continue due to the erosion of protective buffers. While the statement warned that escalating conflicts, trade tensions, rising public debt, and refinancing costs could increase vulnerabilities, the extension of Al-Jadaan's term as committee chairman for one year was welcomed.
