Within the scope of the new legislative proposal prepared by the AK Party, the erasure of GSS debts is foreseen. The regulation, closely followed by millions of retirees, is expected to come to the agenda of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey after the completion of budget negotiations. Options for a flat-rate raise of 10,000 TL or 15,000 TL to retirement pensions are also being evaluated behind the scenes. Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek stated that the regulation will cover all retirees and that salary increases being applied at varying rates depending on age and number of premium payment days are being evaluated.
