A study conducted with 5,000 people in five countries, including Turkey, revealed that artificial intelligence services have become an indispensable part of daily life. While 76% of users in Turkey stated that they use artificial intelligence tools, experts warned against personal data privacy and cybersecurity risks.

Areas of use for artificial intelligence tools

A study conducted with a total of 5,000 people from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, South Africa, and Turkey showed that artificial intelligence has become an inseparable part of daily life.

76% of participants in Turkey stated that they use artificial intelligence services such as smart chatbots, image and video generation tools.

Information searching and content creation rates

Users turn to artificial intelligence at a rate of 79% to search for information and summarize, and at a rate of 37% to write texts.

Other prominent areas of use include editing personal photos at 39%, generating images from text prompts at 35%, and preparing videos at 29%.

Consulting artificial intelligence on personal matters

The research results reveal that artificial intelligence has transformed into a source from which advice is sought on personal matters, beyond being just a work-oriented assistant.

Users in Turkey rely on artificial intelligence for many daily needs, including health questions, leisure time planning, and preparing nutrition programs.

Data privacy and cybersecurity concerns

Sharing personal matters with artificial intelligence brings along new concerns in terms of the protection of personal data and cybersecurity.

The exposure of information or falling into the hands of cybercriminals can pose risks in terms of privacy and security.

Trust in the accuracy of generated content

While approximately 1 in every 10 participants in Turkey stated that they encountered erroneous information produced by artificial intelligence, 30% believe it may give misleading answers.

Experts emphasize the importance of verifying information from reliable sources in subjects such as education, finance, law, and health.

Expert warnings and recommendations against cyber risks

Sensitive or confidential information should not be shared with artificial intelligence services and uploading them to these platforms should be avoided.

It is known that cybercriminals increasingly use fake artificial intelligence agents and services to spread malware.
