New Support Payments Launched for Village Health Workers and Midwives in Gia Lai

The Gia Lai Provincial People's Council established a new support package for village health workers and midwives through Resolution No. 93/2026/NQ-HĐND, adopted at its 13th session, 6th special meeting. Taking effect on October 10, 2026, the regulation aims to strengthen access to healthcare services in the region.

According to the new regulation, health personnel working in disadvantaged areas or villages with more than 350 households will receive a monthly support of 1.78 million VND, while those working in other villages will receive 1.3 million VND. Personnel who meet the conditions will be able to benefit from the support for both duties.

Funded by the state budget, this policy is aimed at improving healthcare services, especially in remote areas inhabited by ethnic minorities. Health workers in areas such as Ia Khươl, Bau Can, and An Phu state that this support is an important source of motivation against rising costs and workloads.
