Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Yusuf Alemdar announced that they are continuing projects such as mobile soil analysis, the fight against the brown marmorated stink bug pest, and the cleaning of irrigation canals to strengthen agricultural production in 16 districts.

Mobile Soil Analysis Application

Mobile teams determine the soil structure and missing minerals on-site using samples taken from producers' lands.

In light of this data, farmers are offered conscious fertilization support, thereby lowering input costs.

The Fight Against the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug

A joint study was carried out with Sakarya University against the pest that causes major economic losses in hazelnut and fruit orchards.

Agricultural Irrigation and Infrastructure Investments

With the cleaning of drainage and irrigation canals carried out across all sixteen districts, elements blocking water flow are eliminated.

Thanks to these investments, lands are prevented from getting flooded, and uninterrupted irrigation water is provided during dry summer months.

Sustainable Production Target

It is aimed to protect Sakarya's agricultural potential and quickly respond to the needs of producers.

Work continues decisively in the field to produce permanent solutions to the problems faced by producers.
