Official statement on iPhone Duo screen issue
The first official statement regarding the screen issue of Apple's first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo, has been made. The company reported that it is aware of the issue but that it affects very few users.
The first official statement regarding the screen issues experienced by users in Apple's first foldable phone model, the iPhone Duo, was made to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. The company announced that it is aware of the internal fracturing issue in the folding area, but that this affects a very small number of users.
It had been reported that global and Turkish users who purchased iPhone Duo devices experienced internal fracturing and bending problems in the folding sections even after short-term use. Some users reported on social media and Reddit that they experienced pixel losses. Apple stated that the issue is not seen on every device and does not pose a major problem.
As a solution for users experiencing the issue, device replacement is proposed, and contacting AppleCare is recommended. However, the lack of an official AppleCare+ plan in Turkey for the device, which is sold for 230 thousand TL, leads local users to receive a "user error" response from stores and be unable to find a solution.
