While an official statement regarding the departure claims was awaited from the Fenerbahçe management, Galatasaray shared a message in English on their social media accounts reading, "There's only one rule in this jungle: when the lion's hungry, he eats!" This post was interpreted as a dig at Fenerbahçe following the derby victory.
