President Erdoğan's "No submission" message at the Mukhtars Day Meeting

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated in his speech at the Mukhtars Day Meeting that they will never bow down to external interventions and dirty games targeting Turkey. Erdoğan touched upon the developments in the rights of mukhtars and regional crises.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in his speech at the Mukhtars Day Meeting, celebrated October 19 Mukhtars Day and praised the efforts put forth by mukhtars for Turkey and the Turkish nation. Recalling that the first meeting with mukhtars was held on January 27, 2015, Erdoğan stated that for 12 years, the bond between mukhtars, who are the frontier figures of democracy, and the Presidency has been kept alive.

Touching upon the works aimed at mukhtars, Erdoğan noted that mukhtar salaries were 97 liras in 2002 and have been increased to over 28 thousand liras as of 2026, that SGK premiums have been paid by the state since 2017, and systems such as MUBİS have been implemented.

Touching upon regional developments as well, Erdoğan emphasized that they are surrounded by a ring of fire and stated that they are working to protect Turkey's interests against the Russia-Ukraine War, Israel's attacks, and other crises. Erdoğan emphasized that they will not bow down to the dirty games and FETÖ-like focal points facing Turkey.
