Interim Payment Announcement at the Economic Coordination Committee Meeting in Beştepe
The ECC meeting held in Beştepe under the chairmanship of Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz lasted about 4 hours; it was announced that interim payments for troubled investment funds will be initiated after enactment.
The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) gathered at the Presidential Complex under the chairmanship of Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz. Following the meeting, which lasted approximately 4 hours, a written statement reported that interim payments are planned to be initiated as soon as possible once the legislative proposal regarding the liquidation of troubled investment funds is enacted.
The Economic Coordination Committee meeting held at the Presidential Complex was attended by relevant ministries, institution heads, and officials. In the written statement published after the meeting, which lasted about 4 hours, it was recalled that the legislative proposal prepared for the liquidation of troubled investment funds was adopted in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) Plan and Budget Commission. It was stated that interim payments are planned to be swiftly implemented after this proposal, aimed at ensuring liquidation processes are conducted fairly, transparently, and under legal guarantee, is discussed and enacted in the TBMM General Assembly.
It was also noted that the meeting addressed the strengthening of human capital and evaluated revisions regarding the net errors and omissions item within the scope of balance of payments statistics.
