Açıkgöz emphasized that statements and accusations targeting an entire professional group over isolated incidents that occurred should be avoided.

Stating that healthcare professionals carry out their duties devotedly to protect and save human lives, Açıkgöz drew attention to the principle of personal responsibility for crime. Reminding that judicial and administrative processes regarding the incident are ongoing, Açıkgöz stated that an individual's mistake cannot tarnish the labor of all healthcare workers and called on the public and media to stay away from generalizations.
