Revenue Administration Head Bekir Bayrakdar Appointed as Deputy Minister of Treasury and Finance
According to the presidential decree published in the Official Gazette, Revenue Administration Head Bekir Bayrakdar has been appointed as the Deputy Minister of Treasury and Finance.
According to the latest appointment decisions signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and published in the Official Gazette, a significant administrative change was made in economic management, appointing Revenue Administration Head Bekir Bayrakdar as the Deputy Minister of Treasury and Finance.

The new appointments finalized with the signature of President Erdoğan were announced to the public via the Official Gazette.
Within this scope, Revenue Administration Head Bekir Bayrakdar was brought to the position of Deputy Minister of Treasury and Finance.
Education and beginning of professional career
Born in Kocaeli in 1971, Bekir Bayrakdar graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of International Relations in 1995.
Stepping into his professional career in 1996 at the Board of Account Tax Specialists, Bayrakdar served with the titles of Assistant Tax Specialist and Tax Specialist until 2004.
Tax office and directorate of defterdarlik duties
Between 2004 and 2008, he worked at the Kocaeli Tax Office Presidency as Deputy Defterdar, Revenue Administration Group Manager, and Tax Office President.
Between 2008 and 2014, Bayrakdar undertook significant administrative responsibilities as the Istanbul Defterdar.
General Directorate and presidency period
Serving as the General Director of Accounting in 2014-2015, he subsequently worked with the title of Istanbul Tax Office President between 2015 and 2019.
Appointed to the Revenue Administration Presidency in 2019, Bayrakdar continued his management at this institution until he was brought to the duty of deputy minister.
Board memberships and banking duties
Bekir Bayrakdar also assumed responsibilities in various corporate structures by being elected as a Member of the Board of Directors of ASELSAN on September 22, 2023.
As of May 2026, Bayrakdar also carries out the duty of Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Development and Investment Bank of Turkey.
