Sanliurfa City Hospital Opened with the Participation of President Erdogan
Built with a capacity of two thousand beds, the new healthcare facility will increase the region's healthcare capacity with its extensive technical infrastructure and specialized units.
The two-thousand-bed Sanliurfa City Hospital officially entered service with a ceremony attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Physical and Technical Capacity of the Hospital
Sanliurfa City Hospital was built on an indoor area of approximately 500,000 square meters, starting to serve as one of the largest healthcare investments in the region.
The healthcare facility was designed to be earthquake-resistant, using 1,101 seismic isolators to increase its durability against potential disaster situations.
Medical Equipment and Bed Counts
The hospital, which has a capacity of two thousand beds, features 546 intensive care beds, 65 operating rooms, and 451 outpatient clinics.
Additionally, 40 dialysis devices and beds actively provide service for patients' treatment within the facility.
Specialized Treatment and Healthcare Services
In addition to general healthcare services, the hospital will provide specialized treatment services in critical areas such as cardiology, organ transplantation, stroke, and burns.
Nuclear medicine, radiation oncology, chemotherapy, iodine treatment center, hyperbaric oxygen treatment center, and obesity surgery center are also included within the facility.
Officials Attending the Opening Ceremony
Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu attended the official opening ceremony in Sanliurfa and touched upon the work carried out by the institution.
Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Bekir Bozdağ, Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, and Minister of Interior Mustafa Çiftçi were also present at the ceremony.
Other Openings via Live Connection
During the ceremony, a live connection was established to officially open the Azerbaijan Interchange as well.
