Gathering within the scope of the 2nd Session of the 16th National Assembly of Vietnam, lawmakers discussed the 2026 socio-economic development plan and projections for 2027. Politburo member and Prime Minister Le Minh Hung, alongside Acting Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc, attended the meeting held on October 18, 2026.

During the meeting, while the government's efforts in digital transformation, science, and technology were generally met with approval, shortcomings regarding data connectivity and interoperability of systems were criticized. Particularly, difficulties in implementing electronic records within the health sector and the fragmented nature of data structures emerged as core issues awaiting resolution.

A four-stage strategy targeting youth was proposed to strengthen the link between education and employment. Within this scope, the objectives include determining contact points, establishing goal-oriented support pathways, ensuring education-employment integration, and regularly monitoring policy effectiveness.
