Statement on Arda Güler by David Badia: Fenerbahçe Era and Potential

In an interview with the Spanish press, Haiti National Team Head Coach David Badia shared details about his former student Arda Güler's transfer process to Fenerbahçe and his development in the youth academy.

David Badia, currently serving as the head coach of the Haiti National Team, shed light on the early period of Arda Güler's career in statements to the Spanish newspaper AS. Badia stated that the player caught attention at a tournament held in Antalya when he was 13 years old and that he transferred to Fenerbahçe during this process.

Stating that in the early years of the youth academy, Arda played in the playmaker position in front of the defense, namely as a number 6, the coach emphasized that the player possessed high game intelligence and technical capacity even back then. Badia conveyed that they devised a special development model for Arda to utilize his potential at the highest level, avoiding playing him on the wings and instead deploying him in the center.

The Spanish coach noted that Arda Güler has the capacity to serve players like Vinicius and Mbappe by playing in the number 8 or 10 positions at Real Madrid. He also added that his disciplined and intelligent character structure off the pitch plays a critical role in the player's development.
