According to data from the City Steering Committee for National Science and Technology Development, Innovation, and Digital Transformation, human resource capacity in the field of science and technology in Can Tho city continues to strengthen. The ratio of personnel, which was 9.88 per 10,000 population at the beginning of 2026, has risen to approximately 10 people with current data.
The total number of personnel working in the field of science and technology in the city has reached approximately 10,700. The improvement in the quality of human resources was supported by an increase in the number of experts with academic degrees. The number of people with doctoral degrees increased from 1,355 to 1,566, while the number of experts with professor and associate professor titles rose from 281 to 306.
